Welcome to The Great Petaluma Desert's internet site. We have been providing the San Francisco Bay Area with quality cacti and succulents since 1976.

For the discriminating collector, we offer an extremely large selection of rare and exotic succulents, particularly caudiciforms. We maintain an on-line Plant Listing for those items that we offer via mail order. In order to keep our marketing and advertising costs to a minimum, we do not print a catalog. Instead we constantly update our on-line Plant Listing by adding new items when they become available or deleting items as they are sold out, thereby keeping our offerings as current as possible. We also offer a wide selection of perfectly staged succulent bonsai. However, these plants are available only to our walk-in customers, because it is extremely difficult to ship these plants, in their containers, without damaging them. In addition to our regular selection of rare and exotic succulents, we offer a vast array of large and medium sized cacti and succulents suitable for landscaping and interior decorating in the Bay Area.

We are located at 5010 Bodega Avenue, just west of the town of Petaluma, California. [Directions] We are open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.

Holidays: If a holiday falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, call first to see if we are open. We cannot accommodate drop-in visitors during the weekday!
